This site reflects little bursts of inspiration and thought - through writing and photography. I like to credit anything that blesses you as simply God flowing through me...and anything that doesn't...well, that would just be my mere thinking out loud! :)
May there be more of God's inspiration than Kim's thoughts...and may you be greatly encouraged and blessed as you browse through this collection of offerings!
Feel free to scroll through the above mini-gallery by placing mouse on the arrows. (Note: Some devices do not show or allow this option. Also, some devices such as I-Phones show blog pics separated differently than you will view them on a PC. I have yet to figure out why, but then my humble technology accomplishments are doing well to even have a blog!) Check out the gallery of photos if you like color and photography. At the bottom/left of each page is a small arrow to view previous posts. There are many.

Song by Eva Cassidy
Photos, well, by me!

Sometimes when the road is long
You grip the wheel and choose a song
One with words and melody
That melts your heart and sets you free
You sing about the days gone by
Or make up words that help you fly
Beyond the dance of day to day
Into tomorrow where you play
Beneath the pines and falling leaves
Where it's quiet and the breeze
Whispers yet another tune
So familiar, yet so true
Suddenly your heart is clear
There's no worry, stress or fear
For a moment care is gone
All because you chose a song

Noticing the subtle hues
Black and white are pretty too
Shadows speak a soft refrain
Decrescendos, sweetly play
Melodies of quiet thoughts
Things remembered, ventures sought
How they dance inside my chest
As the sun upon them rests
Waiting for the colored hues
As they come back into view
Though the dark is a delight
I rest in hope, a brand new sight

Fields of gold embrace the past
Treasured stories that will last
In the hearts of those whose hands
Plowed the earth and worked the land
Spring and summer turned to fall
Farmers always heard the call
Prepare for winter, plow the fields
All from summer's glorious yields
Yellow corn, pumpkins bright
Squash, potatoes, hay bales tight
Tractors rest and cellars full
Just in time for winter's cool
Fiddle's rev and fire's roar
Songs are sung and stories told
Those who lived in days gone by
Carry secrets laced with smiles
Harder times, yet so dear
Filled with challenge, joy and tears
Ode to those who did their best
To sculpt for us life's treasure chests

Red and yellow coming soon
Pay attention, there are clues
In your sorrow, in your night
Look for penetrating light
He will triumph if you cast
All your burdens and hold fast
He'll deliver, He will save
Just as He broke through the grave
He keeps proving, making clear
Another season, God is near
