The Road Home

Back to where I used to be

The road to home has beckoned me

Courthouse square, days gone by

Funny, that's the place I fly

Family joy, memoirs sweet

Invisible whisperings fill the street

I suppose it's where I'll stay

Back to work, back to play

This old town has holds on me

It hugged my heart then set me free

Now I walk these streets again

Hugging back this dear old friend
