This site reflects little bursts of inspiration and thought - through writing and photography. I like to credit anything that blesses you as simply God flowing through me...and anything that doesn't...well, that would just be my mere thinking out loud! :)
May there be more of God's inspiration than Kim's thoughts...and may you be greatly encouraged and blessed as you browse through this collection of offerings!
Feel free to scroll through the above mini-gallery by placing mouse on the arrows. (Note: Some devices do not show or allow this option. Also, some devices such as I-Phones show blog pics separated differently than you will view them on a PC. I have yet to figure out why, but then my humble technology accomplishments are doing well to even have a blog!) Check out the gallery of photos if you like color and photography. At the bottom/left of each page is a small arrow to view previous posts. There are many.

Song by Eva Cassidy
Photos, well, by me!

Fleeting Fall
Colored all
Soon to fold
To the cold
And icy wind
As it sends
Bitter bites
And winter sights
All the leaves
And golden seas
Against the blue
Brilliant hues
Soon to come
Swirling fun
Snowy mounds
Crunching sounds
Sending red
And orange to bed
Goodbye fall
Welcome all
Frosty sights
Cool delights!

As the sun slides down the sky
Shadows grow and I ask why
The heart must carry so much pain
Walk through storms, endure the rain
When will love remember me
Lift me up, set me free?
Can my spirit live again?
Rise from ashes, start to mend?
When will songs return to me?
Soothing waves of harmony?
Where is joy I've longed to hold
Unbridled laughter, wild and bold?
Where's the golden drops of sun
That fueled my smiles and made me run
into the light of beauty rare
As the wind whipped through my hair?
Somewhere out beyond my grasp
Past the tears, past the past
I will seek to keep my eyes
upon the hope that holds my sighs
Knowing love can open wide
And bid me come to rest inside
I will wait with thirsty crave
For the dawn of that new day
Busy hands

Warm smile
Gleaming heart
Precious style
Open arms
Endearing face
Serving all
Showing grace
Rare gem
Shining bright
Sharing love
Sharing life
Sweet words
Kindness shown
Loving eyes
Father's glow
Thank you, Charity, for sharing your home, offering your love and blessing so many. Your servanthood so beautifully reflects the beauty of Jesus. I believe I speak for many who have been inspired and lifted by your gracious offerings!

Sometimes when God
Stirs a heart
It takes some years
For Him to start
A process that's
Refined by fire
Sifting out
The man, The mire
When that passion
Bursts to flame
And people come
To hear His name
The Holy Spirit
Moves inside
And raises up
More great desire
To share and offer

Liberty
Grace and truth
And life that's free
Something churns
And burns within
Until God moves
And gathers in
Other saints
Who love Him too
They come near
To seek the truth
Something kindred
Comes to life
Unity
Trumps sin and strife
And so we thank You
Lord of light
For those who gather

Beloved in Christ
Thank you for the hearts
And hands
Obeying Your
Firm commands
Thank you Lord
That some will heed
A higher call
When asked to lead
The precious Bride
Unto that day
Keep them humble
In Your hands - clay
Thank you, Kent, for obedience to take each day at a time and open your heart and home to the work of the kingdom of God. It will all be worth hearing that loving voice on the day of His return saying, "Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter in to your rest...."

Past the shadows where I stand
I see light across the span
Of reaching arms and wanting heart
Seeking rest, craving warmth
Somewhere out beyond the sky
There is hope that steals my sighs
Rescues me from empty pain
And rebuilds the smiles again
Past the darkness where I dwell
Past the night, past the hell
Of heartache, gray and lonely fear
Past confusion, past the years
To the light I lift my head
Help me rise above this bed
Of bitter heartache, aching past
To a season that will last
A path of brighter melody
Awaited peace and sanctity
Thank You for the light above
Promised hope, promised love
May my weary hands embrace
A higher path, a greater grace
Thank You that You still are there
Past the shadows, past despair

Swollen
Sometimes rivers in my heart
Rise and overflow
Beyond the banks that hold them fast
And into the unknown
Little streams of swollen pain
That create their own paths
Pushing past their boundaries
Desperate in their dance
Fluid liquid racing hard
Seeking to find rest
Tumbling downward, flowing wide
Reaching....relentless
Trying to contain the ache
Impossible I know
Can an ocean be corralled?
Or mountains be brought low?
Swollen water finds a way
As God makes the paths straight
Though the night is long and cold
And nothing stops the rain
I will seek to lift my eyes
To the hills above
Where the One who covers me
Somehow offers love
Even when I'm overwhelmed
And the flood is great
When it pulls me far away
I'll call on His great name
