Summer's delight

Susie's eyes in petals gold

Queen Anne's lacy quilt unfolds

Fields of emerald rolling free

Under floating clouds that dream

In water color puffs of white

Sliding slowly 'cross the sky

Roofs where farmers work and play

And it smells of sweet, fresh hay

Summer's gifts, complete delight

Once again enchant my sight

"Every song that I write comes from my own personal experience.  i believe the role of an artist is to interpret reality through a system of beliefs and a long-term seeking of truth, in your own life and in the world at large."  Dan Folgelberg
