I come here now and then to see

How my heart is managing

Life and all its highs and lows

Nights of sorrow, days of gold

As I sit and contemplate

The shadows tell me it is late

Time is fleeting oh so fast

There's less future than what has passed

Shadows lengthen and I sigh

The sun's still radiant in that sky

It seems that though I feel my age

It's warmth upon me gives me grace

As long as I keep looking there

I feel it's joy and know its care

Something about just waiting here

Makes His presence oh so near

Gives me strength to face the night

Teaches me the pow'r of Light

Out beyond the tops of trees

Past the skyline, past the breeze

Dwells the Source of all that's right

As I bask in this delight
