"So let us press on to know the Lord.  His going forth is as certain as the dawn; and He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain watering the earth."  Hosea 6:3

It is raining as I write today...not just light rain, but rather a stormy, dark down pour!  I kind of enjoy these spring showers that add extra adrenaline and even uncertainty!  But mostly they bring variety - and water what will soon produce brilliant beauty!

Pressing on and seeking the things of God can feel like a storm and seem unpredictable and dark as we walk through uncertain circumstances.  However, even the downpours of life in fact do bring new life and produce strong stalks of growth and useful wisdom in our lives.  Seeking Him in those dark hours is essential, and without fail, out of darkness will once again come marvelous light and new color if we but hold close to His embrace and promises.  There is much we cannot know for now, except to trust that He is concerned about our eternal good.  Hold on to Him through the night and know that the dawn will come.
