This site reflects little bursts of inspiration and thought - through writing and photography. I like to credit anything that blesses you as simply God flowing through me...and anything that doesn't...well, that would just be my mere thinking out loud! :)
May there be more of God's inspiration than Kim's thoughts...and may you be greatly encouraged and blessed as you browse through this collection of offerings!
Feel free to scroll through the above mini-gallery by placing mouse on the arrows. (Note: Some devices do not show or allow this option. Also, some devices such as I-Phones show blog pics separated differently than you will view them on a PC. I have yet to figure out why, but then my humble technology accomplishments are doing well to even have a blog!) Check out the gallery of photos if you like color and photography. At the bottom/left of each page is a small arrow to view previous posts. There are many.
Before you get to all that, click below. Take a breath. Enjoy!!

Photos, well, by me!

A big thank you tonight to all those who have taken the time to read and comment on my blog.....I appreciate your browsing through my hours of scribbling, posting, photo cropping, thinking, and wandering around on these, my therapeutic pages of release and relief in a busy, chaotic, happy, sad, up and down world! I especially love your comments. Maybe it's the vanity is us that enjoys the feedback, but it is truly very encouraging!
I think the heart of all creative folks is to somehow provide an outlet for others to articulate or declare what has been needing to be set free. It refreshes me to write and post photos that I have taken...I hope it will offer those reading some similar expressions. Blessings to each of you....dear friends and family who enjoy these thoughts.
(If you are interested in scrolling back to previous blogs - and there are many - just scroll to end of the page you might be on and find the "previous pages" arrow/button at the lower left. Also on the right bottom you will find an archive/history arrow that will allow you to more quickly find posts from a couple of years ago. Help yourself to as much reading and photos as you'd like. There is also a photo gallery - button at the top beside the blog button - and more things about who I am if you'd like to know.)
Cold winter morning

The sun is gone
Still I have to
Carry on
Face the day
Forge along
Yet within me
There's a song
Of warmth ahead
Of bright, clear skies
Of days when I
Can realize
A dream of balmy
Breezes blowing
Fresh, clear brooks
Of water glowing
Leaves of green
On dappled trees
Hay fields growing
To my knees
Flowers blooming
Clouds of cotton
Images I
Have half forgotten
Change is coming
Tantalizing
Deep inside
My hopes are rising
Waiting for
One special thing
That oh, so glorious
First day of spring

Pulsing light on velvet skies
Dancing brilliance catch my eyes
I am captured by the sound
Of silent glitter all around
Darkened canvas so serene
Leaping diamonds steel the scene
My heart pauses, and I stare
A sight so vast, so rightly there
Beyond my frail ability
To comprehend such mystery
Endless canvas, sweet delight
Lovely, lively bursts of bright
I gasp and gaze, and then behold
Sheer majesty in black and gold

Oh carefree, happy days of youth
The world, mine to explore

From break of day till evening time
I'd spread my wings and soar
Chasing butterflies and birds
Playing in the creek
Looking under logs and rocks
Adventure I would seek
Breathing in the country scents
Plowed earth and new mown hay
The fragrances enchanted me
As I would run and play
The sounds of crickets and of bees
The chattering of a squirrel
They were quite a symphony
For this little blond haired girl
I curled up in the big old barn
With a book and open mind
And through those pages I would travel
Meeting folks of every kind
Oh the joy of those days
Now looking back I see
The thing I treasured most of all
Was the freedom to be ME

Remembering those who have gone before us and paved a way for us to walk...
May we too make pathways that cause others to smile as our memories softly remain in their hearts.
