This site reflects little bursts of inspiration and thought - through writing and photography. I like to credit anything that blesses you as simply God flowing through me...and anything that doesn't...well, that would just be my mere thinking out loud! :)
May there be more of God's inspiration than Kim's thoughts...and may you be greatly encouraged and blessed as you browse through this collection of offerings!
Feel free to scroll through the above mini-gallery by placing mouse on the arrows. (Note: Some devices do not show or allow this option. Also, some devices such as I-Phones show blog pics separated differently than you will view them on a PC. I have yet to figure out why, but then my humble technology accomplishments are doing well to even have a blog!) Check out the gallery of photos if you like color and photography. At the bottom/left of each page is a small arrow to view previous posts. There are many.

Song by Eva Cassidy
Photos, well, by me!

I saw a story sitting there
On velvet green, a rug so fair
Soft and tender was the floor
That cradled age from roof to door
Broken windows, rich with time
Secret tales, they swirled inside
The walls and fields of richest hues
Busy feet, dancing shoes
Running free, yet fixed indeed
On work at hand and mouths to feed
Wouldn't it be dear to know
More about the long ago
A simple time with charm so rare
That left a story sitting there

A royal sky above the floor
Of forests deep where rivers roar
In flooded basins from the rain
Washing nature clean again
Far beneath the undergrowth
Raging waters swirl and roar
While above the sky is blue
Clouds of white and sunshine new
Seasons come and seasons go
Good and bad, ebb and flow
Sometimes angry waters rise
No matter what you do to try
The earth is stirred, the wind blows hard
Every stronghold torn apart
Don't forget to fix your eyes
On the one who paints the skies
He decorates with pink and gold
Silver lining, bright and bold
Focus on the light that throws
Shadows over pain below
Find the promise in the blue
Of a sky that watches you
Love that reaches all the way
To where you stand after the rain.

All is quiet since the rain
Fell and made things green again
Leaves are weeping and the fog
Is rising from the earthy bog
Down the hill where peepers sing
Around the pond and near the spring
The watered ground is bulging with
Moisture damp - and heavy mist
Crawls across the valleys wide
Like a blanket spreads to hide
Fences, barns and even trees
Still and eerie, without breeze
Emerald colors under gray
Stealing what there was of day
Coolness saturates the eve
As I fall into my dreams

Well, I just keep taking pictures and writing. There doesn't seem to be many comments on these tid bits of thought, but I do see foot prints and from the web site's calculations, there have been visitors. So....as long a few are peeking in or stopping by, I will keep bringing humble offerings! :) I know it is a busy world full of busy lives. I only wish I had more hours in a day and could simply spend my time trying to capture the beautiful America I live in. A life time would not be enough to collect the available volumes!
I sometimes wonder if others are as captivated by scenes such as the above photo. It is difficult for me to pass by anything so splendid without at least trying to click a picture! Of course, I realize that I am not a typical kind of person.....I come complete with a warped sense of humor, a well-used camera and pen, and have an insatiable desire to breathe in blue skies, a colorful outdoors, and anything that has a God-print on it. For all those joining me here - if not just for a few minutes now and then - thank you for coming to share in similar pleasures! I'd love to hear from you!

Seldom seen A scarecrow's dream
I hang in the hopes of replacement
Castles tall, I built them all
But I dream that I'm trapped in the basement
And if you ever hear me calling out
And if you've been by paupers crowned
Between the worlds of men and make-believe
I can be found
Plans I've made, a masquerade
Fading in fear of the coming day
Heroes' tales, like nightingales
Wrestle the wind as they run away
And if you ever hear them calling out
And if you've been by paupers crowned
Between the worlds of men and make-believe
I can be found
Garden gate, an empty plate
Waiting for someone to come and fill
Scarecrow's dreams, like frozen streams
Thirst for the fall, but they're running still
And if you ever hear me calling out
And if you've been by paupers crowned
Between the worlds of men and make-believe
I can be found.
